Consultations
Your initial consultation will consist of a review of your medical history, clinical examination and a full discussion of your particular expectations and concerns. The nature of any proposed treatment will be discussed in detail including the procedure, recovery time and anticipated result.
Investigations will be carried out in most cases. This will include X-rays and Scans.
The nature of any proposed treatment options, pending on the result, will be discussed briefly at this stage. With the result at hand, the proposed treatment will be discussed in detail. This will include a brief explanation of the procedure, recovery time including an estimation of time off work and the expected benefit and outcome of the procedure. The known complications of the procedure, both immediate and long-term, will also be discussed in detail. These will be backed up by written information about some procedures.
A friend or relative is welcome to accompany you if you wish.
Consultation fees
Fees are charged for initial consultations and follow up consultation.
For surgical procedures, my fees are within the limits set by the major health insurance companies. Please do make sure that your policy will cover the cost of the proposed procedure.
For patients who do not have health care insurance, there are self paid packages available from various private hospitals. Details of this will can be provided on request.
